The Hardworking Dress

The increasingly hectic lifestyle of the modern woman creates many obstacles- one of which is clothes! I work a 48 hour week juggling various jobs, social occasions, appointments, friends, family, and the dog and instead of carting round twenty different outfits swaps I have one dress that does it all. And I mean all; it works in the office and in meetings, it sidesteps the office commentary of ‘way too short’ ‘too low-cut’ that Bridget Jones had a whole chapter on. It survives the day to go on to the ‘just the one’ after work drink in that I can actually walk, sit and attempt to pull off Beyonce moves in- don’t try this at home or in public if you have no coordination like me. It does the family dinner and the casual luncheon with friends. It holds its own in the fashion stakes when you run into your high school nemesis or the ex with the new model.
